July is well upon us.  Where did the time go?  My first half of the year goal was accomplished, holiday has been celebrated, now it’s time to set a new goal. My first half goal was my half marathon.  I did complete it, beating my goal time by 3 minutes, and finishing with my daughter, which made me so happy and as she started running with me I totally didn’t care anymore about my time.  Running with her, and seeing her sense of wonder as we crossed the finish line, was so cool and something I want to do with her over and over again.Read More →

It’s Wednesday, and my half marathon is on Sunday.  I had a crazy long weekend this past weekend, road-tripping to Colorado to visit my mom, who fell and was hospitalized.  She’s as good as she can be, and I’m very glad that we were able to get to see her.  That being said, when we left I was in kind of a hurry, and worried, and wasn’t as prepared to get my final long training run in.  I left my hydration belt at home, and didn’t think about getting any gels to run with.   I would have LOVED to run in the dry ColoradoRead More →
